3rd PLACE

Carissa Trygstad

Trygstad designed this kitchen for the Carpenter House—an 1891 Queen Anne in the Cathedral District—with the intent of honoring its historic character while supporting modern living. Thoughtful details and timeless materials guided each decision, including cabinetry finished in Sherwin-Williams Sleepy Blue, a hue inspired by the dining room’s original wall covering. The result reflects a seamless blend of old soul and a new chapter.
